Not your average Personal Chef, Becky brings amazing fresh recipes to your home or small event. She works hard to make her Personal Chef customers happy (and full).
Becky was born on Shelter Island NY, a little island nestled between the forks of Long Island near the Hamptons. Her parents love of cooking soon carried over to her and at a young age she had fallen in love with cooking and all that comes with it. Becky attended Johnson & Wales University in Providence Rhode Island. While at Johnson & Wales she perfected her skills and knowledge learning about everything from stocks and sauces, to meat cutting, to French cooking, and table service. There she learned from some of the legends of the culinary world such as Emeril Lagasse.
Becky continued to cook daily and through time developed her own way of cooking. Good food, lots of flavor, and low in fat. She perfected her style in Montepulciano Tuscany where she trained in a small kitchen, practicing her pasta and bread making skills. She also became immersed in the culture and became very comfortable with the Tuscan way of life which is a important influence for her cooking today.
Now living in Southampton and Miami Beach, Becky has started Becky Cooks. Becky is a personal chef as well as a teacher teaching small classes and private cooking lessons. The international influences of Miami have added exciting new flavors and recipes to Becky's repertoire. Fresh seasonal ingredients grown and caught locally on the East End of Long Island are also important influences on Becky's cooking.
